🚀 About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of River Engineering Projects to lead major infrastructure initiatives across France. This role involves managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee project managers, external partners, and client relations, while driving strategic, commercial, financial, and technical success.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Lead complex river engineering projects from planning through execution.
Supervise project managers, external contractors, and client relationships.
Ensure alignment between resources and project needs.
Take full responsibility for strategic, commercial, financial, human, legal, and technical dimensions of projects.
Contribute to business development and growth of the River Works division in France.
Participate in high-profile projects such as:
Canal Seine-Nord Europe
Extension of the Atlantic Basin at Dunkerque Port
Doubling of Fontinettes Lock
Large-scale lock modernization across Nord-Pas de Calais
Tele-control of Moselle’s large-scale locks
Dike and bank repair projects with national water authorities
🎯 Ideal Profile
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in engineering from a recognized institution (ENPC, ENTPE, ESTP, Centrale, INSA).
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in river engineering or related infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership, organizational, and client management skills.
Ability to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.
