Contract: Permanent Location: Luxembourg Sector: Building, Civil Engineering, Major Works (GO/TCE)
About the Role
A leading general contractor in Luxembourg is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee major construction operations across building, civil engineering, and structural works. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, financial performance, and team cohesion from preparation to final delivery.
You will report directly to the Production Management team and supervise a group of Site Managers, providing them with guidance, structure, and decision‑making support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Contractual Project Leadership
Analyse project documentation (technical, financial, contractual).
Define execution strategies in coordination with project leadership.
Validate technical choices, construction methods, and proposed optimisations.
Oversee planning, budgeting, and global financial performance.
Anticipate risks and implement corrective actions.
2. Team Management
Lead and develop Site Managers and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure efficient organisation of site operations.
Resolve complex technical and human challenges.
Promote a culture of collaboration, performance, and accountability.
3. Technical Supervision & Quality
Guarantee compliance with plans, standards, and industry best practices.
Validate technical solutions during execution.
Ensure adherence to internal quality procedures.
Supervise handover operations and resolution of outstanding items.
4. Safety, Environment & Compliance
Enforce strict safety rules across all operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements.
Oversee implementation of risk‑prevention measures.
5. Representation & Stakeholder Relations
Represent the company with clients, engineering offices, authorities, and partners.
Lead and participate in strategic site meetings.
Provide structured reporting to senior management.
Contribute to client satisfaction and long‑term relationships.
Your Profile
Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or equivalent.
8–10+ years of experience managing construction projects in a general contracting environment.
Strong technical expertise and excellent command of financial and contractual aspects.
Natural leadership, decision‑making ability, and sense of responsibility.
Outstanding organisational and anticipatory skills.
Ability to structure, guide, and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
Fluent French required; additional languages are an asset.
Short‑distance travel to nearby sites (max. 30 km).
